Wyoming

So if you've just arrived on this site and have no idea where in the world I am, here's the update. Laramie, Wyoming.
Yes it's a far cry from NH, but James is finishing his undergrad at UWyo this semester and graduating on Dec. 8th. Since my flurried summer of working 65 hours a week at a bed and breakfast and at Starbucks, I had the months of October, November, and December to fill before the big move to Honolulu, Hawai'i. James' fabulous roommates, Ashley and Ashlee were so nice in offering to let me stay with him at their place for however long I wanted, and James was happy to have me in the same zip code so here I am! The first two weeks I spent perfecting the art of being a bum. After the insane schedule I kept this summer it was the most welcome respite, even though I was attacked with a monster head cold right after I arrived. Courtesy of the airlines I'm sure...
Anyhoo, after those first two weeks I realized I had waaaaaay too much time on my hands for a Corlin, so I began the ridiculous hunt for a job in this town. There were a few factors working against me in this search. Firstly, minimum wage is $5.85 an hour. Secondly, the majority of the population of Laramie is the student body of UWyo. Many of whom will work for that wage because they need a job no matter what. Long story short, nearly every job I looked into was only paying the minimum. Yikes. The hunt did have a happy ending though, I found part-time employment as a Front Desk and Breakfast Attendant at the Baymont Inn and Suites in West Laramie. I'll detail some of my adventures at the Baymont in a later post.
I'll be in Laramie until December 15th, when James and I jetset to Las Vegas for a week (luckyyyyyyy) and from there will be flying to the Vegas of Manch on the 22nd to be home for Christmas.

I thought I might add to your count of haha's...remember the beautiful sunny day at pipeline on the north shore of oahu. Today I almost pooped my pants thinking about how the oh so graceful meagan mistakenly squatted on the styrofoam cooler full of iced beverages...only to be seen by...well... the entire beach. Now that was worth at least fifty HAHA's. love you rooms
